CW6280 is a gap bed universal horizontal lathe, distinguished from CW6180 by the removable gap section. When the gap is opened, it can process extra-large disc or flange parts that exceed the normal swing over bed limit, which is the biggest advantage for shops that need to handle both long shafts and large round workpieces.
Built around an integral HT300 cast iron bed, the machine goes through vibration aging and high-frequency hardening on guideways. The standard max swing over bed is 800 mm, with optional center distance from 1500mm, 2000mm, 3000mm, 4000mm up to 6000mm.
